I'm Still Waiting On Forever

For those who've ever been let down by relationships.

You promissed me forever,

And never kept it.

You told me you loved me,

But you never meant it.

 

Lovely roses,

Boxes of chocolate.

Small materials,

Things that wont win my heart.

 

You left me that day,

But I knew it was coming.

Even though you said it,

I'm still waiting on forever.

 

You let me down,

You let me fall.

You said you wouldn't,

and I was foolish to believe you.

 

Next time I give a chance,

I wont believe in 'Forever'.

I won't let my guard down,

Because I don't want to wait on a little promise.

 

I'm still waiting on Forever.

 

Tick Tock,

Time's still going.

This poem reminds me of this quote:

... not just from anyone, but everyone.

Tick toc, Tick toc... I think most people enter into a relationship with the belief that they want forever with that person. It is hard to keep a promise that last forever don't you think? Yet if people live life in the moment then their is no need to make promises of forever instead they enjoy the here and now and one day they both will look up and see they have long past forever's boundaries.

Lesson learned here about peoples intention concerning love and what they can actually deliver. Great write.
