WordsA Poem by Cibs
The words I speak
Are no longer the issue. The smiles I’ve faked? They now see right through me, In me, like I am made of glass.
Transparency….. That’s the word. I let it spill out of me No longer afraid of what they see, What they hear, What they take away from this scene. The anger, the rage, the disappointment, I see it all so clear now.
The silence…It is so deafening In this loud, quiet room. Bouncing off the walls, Entirely too truthful.
But the words? They’re just semantics. Take from them what you may, But know that I shall not refrain myself, From me or from you.
The words?
They spill on their own Like the tears they’re attached to. © 2013 Cibs |
