Out Upon a Hill...

Out Upon a Hill...

A Poem by Laylani Mullane
"

Written after watching The Laramie Project.

"

Out upon a hill
High above the town
A lone figure stands
Smiling as he looks down.

"Laramie sparkles, doesn't it?"
He says softly to those who'd listen,
To those who want to learn,
His death serves as lesson.

Lesson of the hate,
And that it only takes a few.
Lesson of the love,
And what it can really do.

Great ending with these two lines. Your Imaginary's great here... words're really very powerful, I read this piece at the night time... and loved this short write. Your starting's damn great i must say. Keep writing and posting such kinda nice pieces.

About
For me poetry is about emotion, and most of the time when I write I try not to edit too much, if at all, because I believe that it'll only dimish the emotion. For the last few years writing has helpe.. more..
