They're supposed to hold so much weight...yet they're so easy to break...

Promises, promises

So easy to make

So easy to break

They pass through the lips

Supposedly so much weight on their tips

But like wind tearing through a leaf

It's so often ripped to shreds

Leaving only grief.

ahhh so very very true... that's why it's extremely rare i'll swear to a promise for anyone... when i do promise someone it's a pact between them and myself that i'll never break, for it's my sworn word

yeah i have had this happen...i dont like most people lol
i distrust them and with reason....from now on all of my friends are on the tried and true level...i have known them for awhile or i dont talk to them and i know what they are capable of...lol

I like this piece. The flow is quite nice and it has an ecellent point. How true it is as well. In today's world the concept of a promise as well as love and forever has been so skewed their meanings have become utterly laughable. Great work.
