Take the LeapA Poem by Laylani Mullane~Reload~Like a stretching darkness This fear is beginning to engulf us, But take a breath and dont back away, Dont dance around as if this was some swordplay. You know not what you think, Heart or head, Youve been hurt so badly, Old wounds still seep and bled Upon a treacherous ground that we now stand upon. Both of us have wounds, The skin around our darkened souls looking tattered and worn, Our hearts skipping with hope that is battered Our minds whirling with tense anticipation. But take this leap Into the yawning abyss. Take the leap, Despite the fact we know not what is to happen, But take this leap And I will catch you. This I promise you, Ill catch you, Keep you safe and warm, Keep you safe from harm. Leap into this wondrous frightening blindness. We know not what is on the other side, But take my hand and well leap together. Because this I promise you, Ill catch you, Keep you safe and warm, Ill keep you safe from harm. So please trust in me, Take my hand and trust me, To keep you safe, To catch you when you leap. © 2008 Laylani MullaneFeatured Review
