Love Wrecked.

Love Wrecked.

A Poem by Chyna

Hand in hand, in our little love boat

We drifted out to sea.

For years my heart it had been locked,

Yet your smile found the key.

Through the oceans we sailed,

Our love, it kept us anchored.

Even in the roughest seas,

Our love it never wavered.

We spent so long lost at sea,

That we lost the ability to stand.

We became reliant upon one another

Until the night we hit land.

It was then you found your feet again

And I was left alone.

It was then you found who you were again

And I had nowhere to go.

So away I paddled, further and further

Back out into the blue.

I learnt to live by the warmth of the sun,

Its rays replacing you.

What I’m saying is that you were the key,

To the love locked away in my chest.

But I can sail my ship alone,

Independence my greatest conquest.
