I live for beautyA Poem by peter DugganAll for the beauty of the lakeI Live For Beauty
I live for beauty That’s all that takes for me To be a man of many smiles I feel the mystery Of the flowers, the shrubs, the trees, the breeze And the joy of the mornings bird song It’s when I walk these wetland trails That I know where I belong
I love the wetlands They’re the healing of my soul To walk beside this shimmering lake It makes me feel so whole When those birds sing joyously And my feet scratch, scratch along As the trees dance to the serenade My heart becomes a song
Each day I go there I walk down by the lake Where kangaroos be often seen And with my camera take Some pictures of the lake, the trees Or maybe a bird or roo I gain such joy as I walk this trail It’s a thing I love to do © 2019 peter Duggan |
