Pemberton in it's silenceA Poem by peter DugganThe beauty of Western AustraliaPemberton in its Silence
Can you hear the silence? Of this wondrous land so green? Can you smell the sweet perfumes? Does it make you feel serene? When you feel the power of those trees That stand so tall, and straight Oh, one can feel such mystery All hurt does dissipate
If you’ve ever been to Pemberton Where The giant Karri’s grow If you’ve seen the mighty forests here Such grandeur you would know For you would cherish very moment In this little forest town It’s a place brim filled with energy Where nothing gets one down
I stand here drinking in the scene Outside these little dwellings As all around me, in the air The sweet rain I am smelling A tiny bird sings out his song As that rain comes drizzling down On this day so crisp, and clean Such joy my heart has found © 2019 peter Duggan |
