Nothing But Flux

Nothing But Flux

A Poem by peter Duggan
"

Everything always changes

"

Nothing but Flux

Change is all there ever is

Flux is always here

Noting ever is the same

This is all that’s clear

The way you were two hours ago

You’re not the same at all

Every single thing is moving

It’s all so wonderful

There is nought that’s permanent

You can argue on this fact

Yet the truth is written here

By science it is backed

that nothing’s ever static

It all goes round and round

You can’t have life without these changes

This truth it has been found

We are all afraid of death

But we’re dying all the time

Everything it floats about

In rhythm, and in rhyme

You know, that the same river

Twice you can’t step in

Let this seep into your soul

As wisdom does begin

An ancient truth, retold well, and with excellent rhyming. It is hard to argue with Heraclitus.

PS: Do a spell check on the first word of line 3.
