I Wont Live In Their BoxA Poem by peter DugganI will not be brainwashed to live as a slave
I Won't live in their Box
When I look around me And see the way folk are I see them following each other That's not me by far I will not live within their box I'll always step outside Authority can't brainwash me Behind no mob I'll hide
I see strutting down the street Their smart phones in their hands They have no thoughts on what might be They think it's all so grand They never look, and sum things up As the prison gates they wait The chains they ever tighten up It's the coming of our fate
Free speech will soon be pushed aside We'll do just what they say Forced to follow their demands We'll just say 'That's okay' We'll drink their poisoned water Eat their food that's not real food And take inoculations As we let them treat us rude
I just want to stay the way Life's always been for me I will not take their brainwashing A free man I will be I'll just be me until the end As I live my simple life There's no one going to brainwash me No matter what the strife
