Thinking about Peace

Thinking about Peace

A Poem by peter Duggan
"

Sometimes I think that our so called leaders are filled with evil. They have brought such evil to this beautiful planet we live on. When will they wake up nd find love.

"

Thinking about peace

I sit in my garden

Surrounded by love

The love of sweet nature

And the power above

The trees they are dancing

With the soft morning breeze

As the birds they are singing

As they perch in the trees

As I sit and, and I wonder

In this morn oh, so sweet

I feel natures calmness

As the new day I meet

And I think of the hatred

And the anger as well

Of the ones who do lead us

In their own kind of hell

The wars they are raging

Oh why is this so?

It seems that such horror

In this world it does grow

If there's God in the heavens

Then let him bring  peace

Let us all turn to love

Make all the wars cease

A well rhymed and initially soothing piece. Then came the mention of the powers that be. For my part, I try not to think about the buggers.
