This Love Of NatureA Poem by peter DugganFrom Peckham to Australia and the difference of beauty. So glad I emigratedThis Love Of Nature
I don’t know why it is But ever since a child I’ve had this love of nature Its beauty drives me wild There was not much in Peckham But I still love those trees Just three of them in my front yard But oh, they did me please
We only bad those sparrows Some pigeons, some Larkins too That’s all we had, I tell you this But I really loved them true But now I live in good old oz So many miles away Where nature is so wonderful I love it more each day
I have a garden filled with flowers And trees, and lovely birds We have a lake just down the road That always gets me stirred Each day I feel that precious love That nature brings to me Here in my Australia So Much beauty I do see
