By The River Midst The TreesA Poem by peter DugganA Poem about the beauty of Nornalup in south Western AustraliaBy the river, midst the trees
I sit here making movie shows Of a gap between two trees As the sun fills them with painted glow To give them mystery Sparkling like a million stars The river flows so peaceful And trees be painted every shade As they grow so very tall.
Soft music, in the background, plays Relaxed it be my fashion As I watch trees give off a show To stir my heart with passion The sparkling river gives my eyes A show to end all shows Reflecting all the suns bright rays To make my being glow.
Such harmony, and peace abounds In this haven on the shores Of the coloured, Frankland river That place that I adore All who come to visit, here Will take home memories Of the beauty here in Nornalup By the river, midst the trees © 2018 peter Duggan |
