My Mystic Friends

 

Buddha, Krishnamurti too

Ramana, and old Lao Tzu

John Sherman, Osho, many others

All of you, you are my brothers

The ones who changed what I once was

I love you all, and that’s because

You showed me wisdom, nothing less

And filled my soul with happiness

 

For fifty years, I’ve read you all

Your words so very wonderful

Did give my being such a lift

You blessed me with your perfect gift

The gift of knowing who I am

When I came back from Vietnam

I needed all of you, did I

That you helped me I’ll not deny

 

So now I live a life of joy

What you gave me. Naught can destroy

I know I have a lot to learn

As for enlightenment I yearn

I keep your wisdom in my soul

And let your teachings make me whole

I thank you all, my mystic friends

What you gave me it has no end

Hi Sette I have always loved Buddism and the Taoism. But mostly I read what the psychics who are alive today. I have learned much from these guys. but now I search into my own self. And this has transformed me, and made my life so very wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your comments, my friend. The search within most definitely takes one to that serenity that you speak of. I appreciate your words...Peter

and they have been great friends for times when you feel that there are lots of questions that remained unanswered and things are becoming chaotic and confusing.. oh how i love lao tzu and confucius in times when i feel that everything is so disturbing and i just want to feel a little serenity.

Good job, man. You're no beginner, are ya. I don't really see work like this in here all that often. Color me impressed!
Although, I must admit to one little disappointment; I know folks in Mystic, CT, and I thought we might have friends in common. We don't, I guess...but I do share a few of your mentors.

I love going back with your lovely poems Peter, how come it has taken you so long to post them. Maybe it's because we all start to think differently as we grow older. You carry on thanking your mystic friends Peter and please keep on posting, I enjoy them. Rod.
