The greatest question on Earth

“The Question ‘Who am I’

Here’s a question I always ask
What is this thing called me?
Am I this story that I live
That one I think I be
Or am I this awareness
That like a TV screen
Does beam out all the pictures
Creating every scene

I take a look with each new morn
And ask the soul of me
Who is this who lives a lie
What is it that I be
Maybe, I am this stillness
This force that’s everywhere
I am, I am, is what I know
This is all that I can share

What wasn’t born, can never die
True life goes on forever
As birth, and death they come and go
Life cannot die, not ever
We all may take a look within
And find out what we be
And then each of us, we well may learn
That life it is eternity

Hi Sette, there is the you that is merely your story but has no real existence. The real you is the 'I am'
The awareness, consciousness, or presence [Whatever we my call it] This is what can never die, When we have found this out every thing becomes Peace and joy, and all fear dissipated. the basic question of one's role and place in this world is so basic yet difficult to answer.. it depends on a lot of things but one thing i believe in is men exist with a purpose so answering the question who am i depends fully on how a person knows and understands himself..
