Love and happiness for everything

Tell me why

Tell me why, can it be so?
That when the sunrise spreads its glow
I feel such wonder deep within me
As my old heart so tenderly
Sings a lovely gentle song
Makes me feel that I belong
To all this sweet and perfect scene
I feel so high; the grass is green

And all the trees they dance, they do
Against the sky of azure blue
It’s such a magic place I be
So filled with joy, so fancy free
Why is it, that I feel so grand?
Not many folk, they’d understand
How such love does fill me up
It seems it, overflows my cup

I sing, and dance the whole day long
As I do watch the daily throng
With looks of sadness in their eyes
Don’t they know where joy does lie?
Cannot they see pure love, and beauty?
It seems they’re chained, they are not free
If they looked at life the way I do
They’d see each day with eyes brand new
