A man he asked the Buddha Why don’t you speak of God? Budda he had seen the path That most of they had trod He said most of you sleep my frieends You'll hear me from that sleep How can I speak of God, to you? You have to delve more deep
I only want to wake you up The master, he did say I cannot speak of God to you For this is not my way You cannot learn from empty words You have to search within Find out who you are, my friends And let the truth begin
A man he asked the Buddha Can you fill me the essence Of what you try to give to us As were in your holy presence The master went into silence Man did not understand Buddha said “within this silence Lies the truth of all that’s grand”.
Hi Angel, so nice to see you on my page, mate. I tried a few religions, and loved them all. Now though I have found the answers by diving into my inner self. After fifty years of meditation, I have found the joy that lasts forever. That joy is within each one of us. this is all we need, to bring peace all throughout mankind. This is now my total religion. It is good to be hearing from you, my friend. Bless you...Peter
Thank you so much, I have not been writing so often lately { too lazy I guess] Sometimes I can't be bothered, I prefer to sit in the garden with the beauty of nature. I don't really know what enlightenment is all about. I am just a guy who's found much joy. This is well enough for me. I wish you well, my friend...Peter
Greetings, Peter, and welcome!
Although I am a Christian, I have read about all major religions, and have studied most.
I know SOME about Buddhism, but not a lot.
I know that it began over 500 years before Jesus lived, founded by Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.
I know that it is pervasive over Asia, and that the Buddha was prince, his father being king, over a poor populace.
I also am aware of the basic beliefs; no killing of any living thing, no sexual misconduct (how relevant is THAT one now?), stealing, drunkenness, or lying.
Hmmm, reminds me of some other commandments I heard somewhere once...
