It’s a dance, it is your song

Live right now in your own fashion

For your days might not be long

This song of yours is all you’ve got

So, dance it well, you’ll learn a lot

To soon will come the day when you are gone

 

 

You must bloom just like a flower

In a garden, one might tend

You well might live within their rules

Though learn at times to bend

Feel the essence everywhere

That is where the power does dwell

Remember too that even saints

They have stumbled and they’ve fell

 

So, find within that hidden power

The past is but a wilted flower

And all those shoddy things been done

They’re driven back with each new sun

Let transformation come to you

Let each day be born anew

As wisdom fills your heart and soul

Let that power make you whole

Absolutely Chris. When I had PTSD I used to worry about everything, but then I cured myself from all this stuff and I live for this moment now. now ,my heart is filled with joy. Thank you, my friend. I have been away from poetry for quite a while, as I get fed up with writing. Was going to give up on all writing. But here I am again inspired to write. When I read your lines Peter, I thought very much of Shakespeare's "gather ye roses while ye may". Same sort of message. Life is short. We don't know what lies round the corner, so we should live each moment to its fullest. Live with passion. Some very enjoyable poetic lines here and sound advice too. Hope all is good with you.
