Mind.

Mind.

A Poem by Lana Bimbi
"

Don't know if I like this one.

"

Midst the oceans of blue,

There stands a lone island.

Its shore lines oh so pure,

Its innocence a tranquil asylum.

-

It is there where I escaped,

when my mind pleaded to roam free.

Disconnecting from the commotion,

that often shrouded me.

-

Consider your mind an island,

its inhabitants simply your dreams.

And every noxious thought,

Taints your pristine streams.

-

So keep your mind clear,

And your waters shall remain blue.

Disregard the whispers,

Or your island shall pollute.

A beautiful poem filled with emotion and an amazing metaphor. This has been grossly overlooked by the WC community. A true hidden jewel. Its quiet profundity is so perfectly done. Well done.
