The Dark.

Why should one fear the dark

when the dark be the safest for some.

It's lack of light just like a sheet

covering the truths of the day just gone.

And the dark with it comes light

With that the prospects of a new day.

And with the dawn must come a dusk-

the sunset the final array.

Do not fear the dark

I urge you to embrace it, my friend.

Instead look forward to the stars and moon

that dance 'till the very end.

I agree! The light can be much much scarier than the dark, in my opinion. I like how you say the stars and moon dance til the very end.

Growing up I was scared of the dark and my parents would always reiterate the fact that nothing can see you whilst it's dark, hence why you have nothing to be afraid of. The day also brings with it change, and although change can be good, sometimes you want nothing more than for things to remain the same.
