PaolA Chapter by CheyenneThis chapter tells about the male lead this is chapter two and the book goes back adn forth between them Paol Viviana what a beautiful name. It fits her and her dark brown hair and corn flower blue eyes. It’s strange though she looks as if brown eyes would fit her appearance better. Although she would be much less irresistible, and something compels me to talk to her even though as I sat down she looked as if she didn’t want to be bothered. A crash brings me back to reality. I look over to find her body lying limp in the hard floor. I fly to her side in seconds. “Viviana what is the matter?” I ask urgently. “I don’t know.” Her voice is strained as if she is in pain. “Ana are you okay?” a boy asks lifting her head. “Be careful don’t move her to fast.” I say thinking that the boy must be her boyfriend and I’m instantly jealous. A second look though makes me realize that he must be her brother because they look exactly alike. “I’m her brother.” “Boys help her stand and get her to the infirmary now. I’ll let them know that you are coming.” My new teacher Mrs. Dalton says. “Come on Ana.” Her brother says lifting her back slightly. “Stephano is that you?” “Yes.” “My head hurts Stephano. It hurts really bad.” “Is it like the one you had a couple days ago?” “Yes.” “Well we’re almost at the nurses office.” I break into the conversation. She looks at me now and smiles. “Thank you.” “No problem.” “What happened.” The nurse is an older woman maybe about 66 she looks like one of the nurses that you only see in movies. “Hi Mrs. Banes Viviana collapsed in class and said she was having a terrible headache.” “Ok lets get her onto the bed and lying down. I won’t be able to help in lifting her my back is bad.” After she’s done telling us how to lift her we do so. “I’ll go call the ambulance.” She goes off once Viviana is situated. “Is that really necessary?” Viviana asks. “It’s the law dear.” “No really I’m fine.” She sits up to fast and almost immediately has to lay down again. “Lay down.” The nurse sternly commands. “You boys can go back to class now.” “If you don’t mind nurse Banes, I’d like to stay here with my sister.” “Alright but only because you’re her brother.” “Thank you.” I turn to face the girl with the strange blue eyes. “I hope you feel better Viviana.” “Thank you Paol.” As I leave my heart is beating at an extremely fast rate. Something about Viviana made me like her, and it made me like her a lot. As I sit through class my mind drifts to her. Physics goes on uneventfully, but there is the occasional stare from girls around the room. Class finally lets out around eight thirty, and I’m thoroughly happy. Taking a look at my new schedule I realize I have no idea where my next class is and no one to help me. “Hi.” A girls voice says. I look up hoping it’s Viviana but it’s a girl I saw her talking with earlier. “Oh… Hi.” “I’m Mia Lorenzo.” “I’m Paol Nero. It’s nice to meet you.” “Are you Italian?” “Yes.” I find her question rude and sudden but I offer the kindest answer I can. “Oh that’s cool. I’m Spanish myself. What class do you have next?” “Uhm Social Studies in room 301.” “That’s the class I have next. I’ll show you the way.” “Thank you.” “Your welcome, by the way thanks for helping Chiata, and Stephano out.” “Who’s Chiata?” “Oh you wouldn’t know that’s Viviana’s middle name, she goes by that or just Viviana.” “Oh I see. Well it was no problem I couldn’t just leave her there on the floor.” “Yea that’s true. Well here we are room 301.”
“Thanks for bringing me here.” “It was my pleasure.” Social studies goes by with the same introduction as my first class did. As do the rest of my classes for the day. Before I know it the clock says one fifty and the bell is ringing to signal the start to go home. The first day at my new school is done with I’m glad. On the way to my car girl’s look at me as if I’m some kind of god. I laugh at the thought of them fawning over me. A girl walks in front of me and turns to stop. I almost walk into her. “Uh hi your Paol right?” “Yes, that’s me.” “Well I just wanted to thank you for helping Viviana to today.” “News sure does travel fast around here are you guys friends?” She laughs “Yea it does, but I wouldn’t say we’re exactly friends. I’m her sister.” I’m in disbelief. “Her sister? You look nothing…” “Nothing alike I know story of our lives. Stephano and Viviana are odd balls. Our other brothers and sister look just like me. “Oh.” “Yep well I gotta go see how she’s doing.” “Ok bye tell her I said I’m hoping she gets better.” “I will.” She walks down the hallway. Shes pretty I think to myself. Something though doesn’t make her as pretty as Viviana though. I don’t know if it’s her hair or eyes that put her apart, but its something. On my way home I cant help but worry over how Viviana’s doing. “Mom I’m home.” I yell walking through the door. “Paol shhh!! You’ll wake your sister.” “Oh sorry.” “How was your first day at school caro mio.” She calls me my dear in Italian. “It was actually pretty good.” “Good! Were there any cute girls?” “They were cute but there was this one girl…” “Oh tell me everything. What she looks like everything!” I haven’t seen mama this excited since I finally broke up with Jessie “Well her name is Viviana Guiseppe.” “So she’s Italian and her name means lovely.” “Yea… and what?” “In Italian her name means lovely.” “Well her name fits her well. Except her appearance is rather strange.” “What? What do you mean strange.” “Strange in a good way if that makes any since.” “Ok go on.” “Her hair is dark brown a chestnut color, and she ahs cornflower blue eyes. Her skin is olive toned only a bit darker. She beautiful mom.” “It sounds like it and that is a bit strange. Did you two talk much?” “Yea a bit until she started feeling sick. I helped take her to the nurse.” “Oh was it just you who took her.” “No there was another boy too.” “Oh another boy as in a boyfriend?” “No he was her brother they are twins and look exactly alike.” “What’s his name? Or do you know?” “Yea his name is Stephano. She has brothers and sisters, I met her older sister also but I didn’t catch her name.” “That’s cute a big family.” “Well I don’t know how big.” “It sure does sound big to me.” “Yea anyways how’s Rosalia.” “She’s getting a lot better her cough is pretty much gone.” “That’s great!!” “Yea well I’m going to finish up dinner. Your father should be home soon.” “Ok well I need to do some homework.” “Alright.” She says walking to the kitchen. On the way up stairs I look in on Rosalia. She is so cute with curly hair like mine. The one difference between us is her yes are milky brown and mine are hazel. The curly almost black air and smooth permanently tan skin is what we share. When I’ve finally reached my new bedroom my cell phone vibrates. I don’t check the caller I.D. first. “Hello?” “Paol?” “Yes.” “It’s Jessie.” Her voice is ruff as if she’s been crying. I suddenly wish I hadn’t picked up the phone. “What is Jessie.” My voice is irritated and I know she can tell. “I miss you Paol.” “Jessie we’ve been broken up for 2 months you cant keep calling me.” “How many times do I have to apologize or tell you that I made a stupid mistake.” “No the mistake was me taking you back the first time. Besides I live thousands of miles away now.” “I thought your mom said you could stay with your grandparents a the vineyard.” “Jessie there is nothing left for me in “I know you still love me Paol. I’ll be done if you tell me you don’t love me anymore.” “Jessie I…” The truth was I still loved her. I always would but that didn’t change what she did, and I couldn’t take her back. “See you can’t even say it. Come back here and be with me. I miss you so much.” © 2010 CheyenneAuthor's Note
