The Man and The Mirror

The Man and The Mirror

A Poem by Kevin Kappler
"

This mirror is magic. Upon gazing into it- the mystical mirror shows your truer self. What makes you you.

"

I thought a smile lit the dark
It was just your mask
Hiding the pain of your heart
Shrouds of guilt and painful shame
inside of you
it Rains Hard Blame

Did you know you are the Gem?
Outside your prison
Outside Your Dark Pain’s Wall
A doorway remains to the outside of these halls.

I thought your reflection showed
A swan amongst ugly ducks

That was your downfall
The man and the mirror
From it’s reflection.. He tried to make things clearer

Did you think you were alone?
I was at your side
But you were blind
To the shades of the lost
Sunglasses of pain that cut you needlessly to the bone.

Pride is a condition that makes one’s heart weak.

Take them off.
Take Off These Shades
See the man and the mirror
He’s in your heart
Singing
Take A Peek
He’s Singing to you
Longing to make things in your dark life
so much clearer.
