Doors

Doors

A Poem by Chrystal Cora
"

I felt like writing a poem but didn't have any ideas. I asked my boyfriend to give me an idea and he said doors. I thought about doors and what they mean in the physical world and in our minds.

"

To my house,

To a friends house.

Doors that lock,

To hide behind,

To shut out.

Doors to get stuck in.

Doors that fall,

Break.

Doors to open opportunities.

New thoughts.

Doors that don't exist,

Doors that shouldn't be there.

A symbol.

A warning.

One sided doors,

Doors with pictures.

Doors to confine,

To keep in.

Doors to greet.

Made by human hands.

Opening up to different worlds.

My fav. lines:

"Doors to greet.
Made by human hands.
Opening up to different worlds."

Extraordinary pen'd up.. I believe, your b.f suggested or recommended you a very deep title to write on. Am sure, his fav. genre might've been "horror" or "crime"... (that's what I analysed outta his title) ... you put down your own thoughts into the poetry .. collab your words with title-theme quite well and bring a very sophisticated poetry reading. Great job!
