Equal Opportunity Ignorance

Equal Opportunity Ignorance

A Poem by Chrys

Equal Opportunity Ignorance

Ignorance isn't bliss; it's f*****g ridiculous

This fear in my head is not irrational, The greed of mankind is international People preach of war and hate, Isn't it time that we integrate. No more blood shed between Black and White, More greetings of "Hi, are you alright" But then I remember, that never will be Because the human nations will never be free. No longer can we let our kids play in the street We hide them away, in fear of their safety There are bullies, riding around on their bikes Well not theirs exactly, but I guess that's alright. "That black kid's a n****r, that china mans a wok Only good for running a fast food shop!" But really that is not the way, We are all the same at the end of the day. The clothes on your back are made in a foreign location, The shoes that you wear are from another destination The food that you eat was made far away It's time we threw discrimination away.

We all eat, sleep, laugh and cry, We were all born and just the same we will die, We all wear clothes, we all wear shoes, We all want the world to hold a different view. I've been guilty, I've been innocent too, But now I see things in a clearer view, One thing I know Is that we're all the same, And war and politics, Is all a mug's game.
