Caught in the Net

Fear and anguish linger on

And sometimes, baby girl, I know it's hard to bear.

I hate to be the bad guy,

but you have to know that someone is there.

Rolling around, deep in thought about this choice of mine.

Wondering why you are sitting alone in your mind.

But I can promise it is justified and right for you.

And I promise it is the truth you can find, hope is there I know its true.

Because I have been there too.

The one where only darkness creeps

and my mind ends up there a lot it seems.

It's like your playing ball

when it gets caught in the net

But believe me child, there is a way

I know this to be true

No harm or fall was meant today

I only wanted safety and peace for you

I loved the emotional aspect to this apology especially culminating in the last line of the poem;

Sometimes all people want is to be forgiven, even though it is sometimes the toughest action to take.
