Casting Out Fear

Casting Out Fear

A Poem by ame_incassable
"

I was completely tackled down by the Holy spirit at church today. I struggle with some guilt and doubt with my thoughts and decisions and was reminded that although we are human, his love never fails

"

I find myself at the foot of your cross
every time I want to hide so much of my life.
You ask me to bring all of it, and I must,

But I argue with myself in turmoil and strife.

I fear the wrath, the shame, and the guilt,
How can I do this to You, Lord?
But Your word says to cling to You and all You've built
And draw against the enemy that mighty sword.

There should be no fear in love,
Your perfect love casts out all our fear.
I am looking for answers that can only be found above,
And I am still Your child, if only mere.

Lord I rest my head and I bring you my pain
I am resolved and convicted to serve only You
Your grace breaks every one of these chains
and suddenly that fear is washed away too

ame_incassable,
'Casting out fear'
Yes, you are speaking of a common part of being human. Our difficulties are lived within the reality of the heart. This is where we fight our battles of moral choices and thinking and make decisions. Is it only of the mind-like a business transaction? Maybe it seems so. You present thought and a conclusion for you personally. Well done and beautiful.
Blessings,
Kathy
