Wasteland (Part 1)A Poem by Christopher The PoetPart 1
I.
Summer surprised us all, as We passed the windswept colonnade, Stopping in a little nook, for Coffee, and some shade. You and I were many, so Together, we were quite a crowd. You and I were many, so Our songs, together, were quite loud. In the fiery din of love, I Could hear you screaming out; Begging for an answer, I Responded with a Silent Shout: "This is what you waited for. This is what you wanted all along. Now, relax, while I set the score-- Worry not: I speak not loud nor long." © 2012 Christopher The Poet |
