Catharsis Defined

Catharsis Defined

A Poem by Christopher_Myles

There is a pounding desire, a thunderous applause, a vibration in the ground.

It will come, beyond the horizon yet, but I can feel it, like it is already here.

Though I can not hear it, I know it.

Though I can not speak it, I feel it.

Though I can not touch it, I love it.

It moves through me, though I walk and talk and breathe, I have only ever moved when it was through me.

So I wait, until the source of this underground trembling consumes me.

It lives and it burns, and finds a home in my words.
