Alone but not Lonely

Alone but not Lonely

A Poem by Christopher_Myles

I trek in to the darkness surrounding my home.

To cool this searing pain, that wells in my bones.

I look to the sky, to the moon and the clouds.

I think my own thoughts, I will not say aloud.

I find that I am completely alone.

But I realize that this is all I have ever known.

The people I know, yes they know my name,

But if all but I died, I would forget it all the same.

Yes I am alone, but I am not lonely,

because only by one person am I truly known,

And that is my self, when I am completely alone.

I've thought about this a lot before. I feel the same way, even if you don't have anyone else, yourself is enough. This is great
