Thirteen

Thirteen

A Poem by Cee. Es.

Thirteen

Thirteen was supposed to be special
I waited thirteen years
It came and passed like any day
What I expected wasn't clear
Disappointment wracked my body
I cried so many tears
Thirteen was supposed to make me anew
But by days end I was left to find
That I had wasted thirteen years
Waiting for thirteen

. oh gosh ... this is absolutely out of this world brilliant, poignant and profound ... those last two lines are so amazingly thought provoking ... we all do this millions of times ... wait like this ... but you expressed it amazingly well ...
