![]() My GrandmaA Poem by LoveBetweenLines![]() One stubborn granny...![]() My grandma’s pretty old school, Her humour’s not the best. She always complains to me, She’s really such a pest. My grandma can’t watch anything, None of these ‘new movies’. She never even watches Oprah, Grandma claim that she’s a banshee. “Oh, Grandma,” I would say To try and fix her problem. “TV and movies, they aren’t bad. They’re really quite a gem.” One day I sat her down, “Watch this, I insist”. The show had the past year’s movies, All on a countdown list. First up were the Twilights, I said, “This was a popular flick!” Grandma responded, “Vampires? That’s totally unrealistic.” I shrugged as up came Harry Potter, I was sure it was a good pick. But Grandma laughed and said, “There’s no such thing as magic.” I rolled my eyes and wriggled a bit, Settling in for Inception. “The main guy needs some help,” she said, “And maybe some medication.” Frustration set in as I grumbled and sat, Waiting for Grandma to like one. Eat, Pray, Love came on and she smiled, “Now that’s realistic fiction.” © 2011 LoveBetweenLinesAuthor's Note
