I Fell Before I KnewA Poem by C.E.Grey
I fell for you
Long before I knew The truth of your words All you meant was to hurt Started out great Talking, joking everyday But then the conversations Quickly led to a place Reserved for the bed I played along All the while holding my head Wringing my hands in fear What if someone should overhear? But I wanted to keep you by my side And if that's what I had to do I'd do it smiling all the while But reality began to set in You stopped picking up your phone And I began to be controlled by a blind panic Every time I called I was scared another woman would answer And half the time it was a disaster I soon began to realize That all you wanted was to fulfill your base desire The demand for pictures increased You said you wanted to try every position I felt like puking at your attempts to seduce me Which felt a lot more like attempts to reduce me I kept up with your increasing demand And put this pen in my hand So now the world will know your wrongs And know that I just played along
