Beasts known as human beings

Have done the most unspeakable things;

They came into our neighborhoods

And demolished our life-giving woods;

Now, they sit gasping for air;

Their destruction lies dead, everywhere;

Do they, even begin, to understand

That they have, also, killed man?!

Your words are true. If we don't gain some wisdom and stop the cutting down of trees and the great forest. In 30 years. Man will have great problems that can't be fix. Everyday one more animal is lost to man's greed. If man don't change his ways. He will join the list of animals that are gone forever. Thank you for a excellent poem with a powerful message.
