ToadusA Poem by Christina May ShanabergFor Toadus, my friend for a couple years, during my childhood!TOADUS
At night, you make alot of noise; Your back is covered with warts; You're more fun than any toys, Because love flows, deep, in toady hearts; I don't want to capture you; I want you to, always, be free To do the things you like to do And to stop by and visit me; You hop, bravely, up to my giant shoe And respond, sweetly, when I pet you; People ask, "Is this the toad you knew; "Do you know that he's not sometoad new;" Of course, I know all your ways And your path 'round the old oak; I know where you spend the days; Oh, my friend, never croak. © 2010 Christina May ShanabergAuthor's Note
