Good Morning, Songbird

Good Morning, Songbird

A Poem by Christina May Shanaberg
"

For all the birds whom have sang to me!

"

GOOD MORNING, SONGBIRD

Good morning, Songbird;

The night bird has stopped calling,

Awaiting the happy words

Awakening in your sunny song.

Love is alive, in your tune,

And the promise of another day;

Our time passes, all too soon,

But the beauty you make will stay.

Music is not all you create;

You give peace to the earth;

The simple becomes the great;

Your song has untold worth.

Good morning, Songbird,

At the first light of dawn;

Like a dream, I once heard,

And my mind dwelt upon.

I will remember you, always,

Holding your song in my heart;

We share only special days,

That linger when we part.

Night is no longer dark,

Nor being alone lonely;

In silence and memory, hark,

A sweet songbird's symphony.

Aren't those early-morning crooners great? When I'm making the coffee each morning before sunrise, I hear them outside just singing their hearts out, spreading hope and happiness all through the neighborhood. You honor them well with your fitting tribute.

What a wondrous dedication! How it reminds me of a walk this morning before work.. hearing the music of birds all around! Thank you for sharing this lifting song of joy...
