We Visited Inside A Dream

We Visited Inside A Dream

A Poem by Christina May Shanaberg

WE VISITED INSIDE A DREAM

We visited each other, inside a dream,

And floated there for only a moment,

Before vanishing like a cloud of steam,

Leaving only a warm memory of the event;

Two minds filled with similar thoughts

And words which told us what we already knew;

Too late in life to draw the proper lots;

A night that should have never ended,

Suddenly, fading in the haze of time,

But you shall always be remembered,

Long after I have forgotten your rhyme;

Somewhere an equal walks,

Speaking for me, when he talks.

love discovered and experienced and lost?..or maybe a chance encounter that was syncronised....to impart a reawakening in both?
