Why try?A Poem by Christina May ShanabergThis is kind of a different format for me, but I gave it a try!WHY TRY?
Inside, I am empty; Outside, I am closed; The past Is behind me; The future, Who knows; At my feet, Trampled eons decay; Overhead, Infinite unknown; My mind, Full of pain, unforgetable; A heart Afraid, void of emotion; The end Of unreachable goals; I begin To give in; I rest Upon a quiet moment; Death works, All of the time; My name, Uttered, occasionally; Unfamiliar face On worn photographs; There is no more; Why try? © 2010 Christina May ShanabergReviews
