In Visions

In Visions

A Poem by Christina May Shanaberg

IN VISIONS

In visions, we dream about tomorrow,

Escaping from yesterday's sorrow;

Our thoughts are of the future,

Where past experiences are mature;

In visions, the road is paved where we walk

With each mistake becoming a building block;

To what we knew before,

We can only add much more;

In visions, today is far behind,

But its pain lives on in the mind;

We can not look very far down,

When we are standing on solid ground;

In visions, we are as we desire;

Visions, the goals that beckon us ever higher.

This is good! We all need a vision to hold on to... something to dream of and keep us going and aiming to be higher than we are. Nicely done :)
