From Just Another Weeping WillowA Poem by Christina May ShanabergOne of my favorite poems from my earlier writing days!FROM JUST ANOTHER WEEPING WILLOW
I have loved you and you knew now; I have never gotten the things I want; An empty life that I can not fulfill And endless dreams that will never be real; Nothing to feed my starving hunger, Except bits and pieces of lover after lover; What I hope for shall not ever be; Happiness does not find me; I just want you to know, you are my every thought And always welcome to anything I have got; Each memory of you is a beautiful flower of thine Pressed between the pages of my mind; Behind you, I shall always be in the shadows, Silently weeping, as the willows. © 2010 Christina May Shanaberg |
