Lost Somewhere in Forever

Lost Somewhere in Forever

A Poem by Christina May Shanaberg
"

True love never dies, but we have to let it go, sometimes.

"

LOST SOMEWHERE IN FOREVER

Yesterday is the time where you belong;

Your presence here, today, seems so wrong;

All of the feeling is still here,

But our memories are locked in a distant year;

The hopes we had lie waste,

Along with the questions we never faced;

Answers no longer seem to matter;

Truth is better off lost somewhere in forever;

There will always be room in my heart

For the pieces of a love we ripped apart;

It is best to see each other in fond reflections;

Our tomorrows await in two opposite directions;

I know that I will see you, again,

But you will never be my long lost "friend,"

Because you were to be a part of my life,

Now, fully committed to being another man's wife;

We will always think about us, very much;

Yet, only in dreams may we touch.

We will always think about us, very much;
Yet, only in dreams may we touch.
