My CastleA Poem by Anne’sRants
My Castle is full of many rooms
of wandering halls and mazes It's cold and empty;Dark at sight To see it your way would be a fright You see thorns, but I see roses because I know beauty comes with pain unreachable, lest you prick you finger and Always, Always bleed a little My Castle is full of many rooms each lit by a blazing fire Because warmth can't be felt without the cold; Love without Desire Come closer my prince and you will find the light and warmth of love at sight. My heart and yours They know it true within the deepening night My Castle lays silent in this twilight age, not eery, as you think but peaceful in it's quiet slumber your footsteps echo in her empty halls Come closer, and you will see I do not need you-knight in shining Armour As you think I do. I asked no one for rescue from my tomb I am no princess in a tower To be secreted away And my Castle is no graveyard, lit by the moon It is a garden in full summer bloom
