Recovery

Recovery

A Poem by ChristiannaPujol

I've finally found happiness
It was quite a stretch
From where I was
The soft moonlight breaks
through hazy midnight.
It beams hope, faith and love

In a world so evil, so malicious;
little children dance with the devil.

The same miserable kids are bitten by vampires;
the fangs break through the flesh
like the delicate skin of a peach

The same miserable kids are  haunted by demons
Some of them are consumed by the darkness
Trapped with the monsters of their mind

And some sew up their cuts
Rise from the ashes
And live to thrive
