Heartbreak

I wrote this short poem after I suffered through a terrible year long relationship with someone. This was written when I was fifteen

You were my first love

you taught me to love others, but not to expect love in return.

I loved as much as I could, Without an ounce of love back.

My heart started to turn black, My feelings, weary.

Until I could no longer love anyone. 

Not even myself...
