Hawk-like Talons

Hawk-like Talons

A Poem by Christian C. Alonso
"

A poem I wrote for my grandma. Things happen for a reason and some realize before others. Thank God, I was one of them.

"

I’ve always pondered that things happen for a reason,

and it’s proved to be genuine.

When things strike rigid like hawk-like talons

you’ll be feeling a pain inside you.

When things like this are before you, you feel your inside burning in silence;

it’s an unstoppable afflicting pain.

When things like this happen, you think there is no way to deviate of those

momentarily continuous, irritating thoughts.

The only thing that possible to do, is to keep going straight

forward and not let any obstacles arrogate you for the rest of your life.

Have faith towards yourself, be who you are, or who you want to be.

Never give up, continue straight ahead, and don’t even let

the smallest details affect the way you are, or make

changes to your opinions.
