Lovecurrency

Lovecurrency

A Poem by Christian Adriaensen

If I could broadcast my love for you
would you switch to my channel?
Would you pick my frequency,
even when I sound like a detuned radio?

If I were a song,
would I be on your
finite playlist?
Even if I go silent
as a seclusion
and I cease to exist?

If I was a telephone,
would you dial my number?
Call me every day and night
from January to December?

Would you still save me
if my currency
was a billion-high?
Would you still love me
even if my trading price
was one big lie?

If not my love,
cover your ears.
Shut down your eyes.
Remove me from your list.
Hang up on me
and sell me out.

I’m just forgettable

I like the whole concept of this poem - a lovecurrency - the idea of would you tune in, call etc - the twists of love - really kicks into mind a wedding or something - "will you..." - currency of sorts - I like that! nice job!
