Outside your bricked wallA Poem by Christian Adriaensen
You wouldn't possibly know what I'd like to say,
but I just know the soundwaves of my bouncing heart 'll never reach yours. I guess you couldn't understand why I feel this way, so I decided to be the slender slave of your desired flavours. Maybe it's because I need your smile upon my earth, because without you my mood is like a cloudy noon. So be gentle because you're holding my defenceless heart, don't squeez it to much or it'll bleed to death soon. Instead, be the wind that takes me where I want to go, the pleasing incense that makes me go so high. Show me that loving you is all I need to know, and I'll let you shine like the rising sun in a cloudless sky. Perhaps it's far too early to reveal, cause I'm carrying mingeled doubts of joy and fear. The dawn is falling, indecisive but more than real and I'll keep compiling my blooming words for you right here. Here ,on my own, alone outside your bricked wall, just waiting anxiously to watch it fall. © 2011 Christian Adriaensen |
