Desert Princess

Desert Princess

A Poem by Christian Adriaensen

In her dark brown eyes
an orphic night
a silent mill
grinding out stars.

I fondle her sensual
Sahara-fields
losing all sense
of existence.
Victimized
by a plume of
diamond clouds.

In the fall of night
we cross silken borders
and transcend reality
till the sky blue strengthens.
Slowly glazed with hues of
orangered.

Whilst the sun climbs higher
things are all clear to see.
Like her appearance as a
desert-princess is all what
pure beauty looks like
to me.

Love, desert, stars, sun, all woven together to create a beautiful vision. I am fond of deserts.
