Flame in the Oil Lamp(My Anger)A Poem by Bailey B.I got mad one day and this is the resultMy anger is trapped and burning, Like a flame within an oil lamp. The infuriating flame Burns through my life, Which is dark and unclear Like the southern night. And in my night life, There are few stars that are not covered By black clouds. But unfortunate for me The moon has been missing lately And has been replaced by my flame. The flame has been growing Because the oil lamp has a crack And the wind has been blowing through, Making the fire rage. It's hard to stop the wind As it blows into my lamp. I wish I could trap the wind And send it to another part of the world. But I sense that I will not have such luck. And the flame will keep building, Until it finally explodes, The oil lamp splitting open And destroying all light in my life. © 2011 Bailey B. |
