The RiverA Poem by Bailey B.NO DESCRIPTION! READ IT TO FIND OUT! :)I can still picture the river, It's waters blue and banks green. And I remember how we sat there, Looking at the blissful scene.
The grass tickled our bare feet And the wind played through our hair. He smiled at me and I smiled back, Showing adoration and care.
Something jumped from the water, So I ran to the edge to see. Then I turned back to my love, Beckoning for him to come to me.
Curiosity stirring, he walked over to me And looked out over the water's bend. It was then that he fell, Meeting a watery end.
I screamed out his name And searched for his bobbing head. But I saw nothing for too long. He was...dead.
I went to the police And after three days were spent, They found his body. They called it an accident.
I now played my part As the grief stricken bride. But it was all an act. For all of this was a vengeful ride.
He was a liar And he had slept with her. So I did what I had to. I, not the water, was his murderer. © 2013 Bailey B. |
