Available to Promise

Available to Promise

A Poem by Christel Grady

We often ignore

the seemingly mundane

and utterly absurd.

We wait impatiently

Father Time ticking away

Mother Nature making do.

Without you here

in my arms again

until tomorrow.

I had a thought just today, that I always seem to be waiting for something - in order to do something else. patience not being a virtue I possess it gets so tiresome. so my solution became to stop the waiting, whenever I can, and just let each day become what it is meant to be. For all our worrying and waiting never changes the course of things anyway - so best to take it as it comes. :)

Those moments of longing are never easy no matter how old you get. Time is the enemy of all those who love. Not sure who said it, maybe it was me, either way its true. You pack a lot of meaning to these few lines and it all rings true.

hurry up and wait is the story of my life...I'm usually not this eloquent when discussing it.

some of us can wait a lifetime and others can't wait a minute, so they miss out at times. i find that it is best to make things happen on your own, to force the issue and if you really want something bad enough, you will find a way to get it done. this was interesting to me and I am glad i stopped in to read your work.

Very deep words here my friend. I love the sense of urgency that leaps from the page. I always have to read your words twice as I feel the ideas that they place in my head are formed of concrete and have such texture of clarity. I am always impressed with your writes.

Great Job!!!!!!!
